" EVERYBODY CAN BE GREAT BECAUSE ANYBODY CAN SERVE.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE TO SERVE.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE YOUR SUBJECT AND VERBS AGREE TO SERVE.
YOU ONLY NEED A HEART FULL OF GRACE, A SOUL GENERATED BY LOVE."
-MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
YOUNG GENERATION MOVEMENT WAS FOUNDED ON THE BELIEF THAT ALL YOUNG PEOPLE,
REGARDLESS OF THEIR BACKGROUNDS OR THE CHALLENGES THEY FACE, HAVE THE DESIRE,
TALENTS, AND POTENTIAL TO BE PARTICIPATING.
THEY SAY THIS...

One in five youth from low-income families (20 percent) are charged with an adult crime by the age of 24, which is higher than the number of youth from middle- and high-income families (16 and 12 percent, respectively).

Only one in ten youth from low-income families (10 percent) go on to graduate from a four-year college, compared with over a quarter (28 percent) of youth from middle-income families and a half (50 percent) of youth from high-income families.
WHAT WE SAY
Empowering our vulnerable youth is more than a mission; it's a promise. At YGM we focus on recruiting and building trust with young minds. Our aim? To help them sidestep cognitive consequences and peer pressure while instilling a deep sense of self-worth. This is a transformative journey, where we unlock not just generational wealth, but also generational wisdom and well-being.

Over 90% of the youth who have participated in YGM have graduated high school and attended some level of college.

95% of the YGM participants helped to prevent gang violence and assisted in the overall reduction in the juvenile crime rate in Fulton County since 2012.
